Stock Selection Process
We consider our sell discipline to be an integral part of the Altanes
Investment Process. Altanes subscribes to a structured framework for
selling a portfolio holding, focusing on eliminating companies showing
either indications of fundamental deterioration or overvaluation. The
position is sold, when:
1. The portfolio position no longer qualifies via Altanes' balance sheet
and/or income statement criteria.
2. The portfolio position’s price deteriorates without the likelihood of a
meaningful near-term recovery.
3. The portfolio position appreciates in value, reaching an excessive
valuation level.
The process described above cannot, in and of itself be
used to determine which securities to buy or sell or when
to buy or sell them.
